Papua Solidarity Comity for Wamena and GEBRAK ( The Movement with people) at Bandung

(translated from yesterday's Indonesian version) Today October 10,2000, Papua Solidarity Comity for Wamena and GEBRAK ( The Movement with people) at Bandung Indonesia have made a non violent action at headquarter of Kodam III Siliwangi, to protest the shooting civillians by militery in Wamena West Papua. That non violence action has faced with beater action at students by militery of Kodam III Siliwangi. That 16 demonstrans have faced by 29 militeries and it intelligence agent. After beat the students, the militery has chase away the student from the headquarter. After that, the students have oration a long Merdeka street until they dispersed. The Militery Chief Comander of Bandung said that Wamena case is not their responsibility, but it was a responsible of Polri (Indonesia Police Department). The students argue that the militery has want to move the Ambon case to West Papua. The militery has done it to stop the aspiration of West Papua People to get their freedom back.
